What to check before buying CBD Oil online

What to be aware of..

When you are looking for a good source of CBD Oil (Cannabidiol) online you should be aware of the increased risk of paying good money for a bad product. ‘Bad’ can mean a number of things ranging from simply useless to potentially dangerous. The last 5 years has seen an increase in fake or substandard CBD products coming onto the market as CBD has gained in popularity and demand.

We have prepared a checklist to use that will help you make the right choice for yourself and loved ones when buying CBD Oil online whether it’s from us at Phoenix Healing or anywhere else.

CBD Oil Buying Checklist:

☑︎Quality – Is a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is a laboratory certificate outlining the exact ingredients of a product – is it available by request?

☑︎ Safety – 3rd-party tests are done by a laboratory to guarantee a CBD product is free from toxins, heavy metals & contaminants.

☑︎ Purity   – Does the product contain any filler or bulking agents such as Hemp Oil or MCT etc?

☑︎ Concentration - What percentage in the container is actually CBD? Use the calculator below to check.

☑︎ CBD : THC Ratio – 3rd-party tests show the percentages of CBD and THC (& other compounds) in the oil.

☑︎ Contents (CBD mg strength) - how many mg in ration to the container size – this then gives you the exact strength of  the CBD Oil.

☑︎ Price – Does the price seem right when comparing mg (strength) to volume?

☑︎ Processes – How is the CBD extracted, and preserved?

☑︎ Farming – Are practices sustainable, pathogen & chemical free, organic?

☑︎ Breeding – What are the genetics of the product you are buying?

☑︎ Manufacturing – Is the maker compliant in health, safety, GMP, & other legal requirements?

☑︎ Source – Is the supply chain known, where is the hemp grown, is it imported or local CBD?

Calculate product strength of CBD Oil:

Example: 2000mg | 30ml dropper bottle | 600 drops

2000 ÷ 600 = 3.3mg per drop

20 drops = 1ml (66mg)

Use this equation to calculate cost per ml

PRICE PER ML = (mg CBD) ÷ (unit price) >> e.g. $75 ÷ 2000mg = ~3.75 cents per mg

As a guide for dosage: 1 drop = .05ml / 20 drops = 1ml

Conclusion

When researching various brands of CBD Oil, look for responses that are supported by documentary proof or real experience rather than just personal opinion or hearsay before making an informed decision.

You can certainly grow cannabis and extract CBD yourself at home however it’s also important to know exactly what is in your product and to have some control over its quality, contents, and strength.
